Project Outline:
Working with OMNI Remotes, we are tasked to design a remote controller targeted towards a certain audience group. My team’s target audience is children aged 6-9. This is one of my design concepts. This product is a combination of education, entertainment as well as independence.
Introducing Tuneboard.

“Tune” = Music
“Board” = Keyboard/Remote
Tuneboard, inspired by Garageband, is a MIDI controller, it is an "all" in one instrument controller that has to be connected to an iPad/tv via an app to produce sound. Tuneboard can be used for children to create music, and learn music as well as a toy that gives children creative outlet.
Aged 6 is a transitional year from kindergarten to primary school. It could potentially be the children’s first-ever drastic change of routine and practices.
Setting a routine and helping children have quality sleep would be a very important step to help children be more comfortable in such a stage in life.
