Project Outline:

Paradoxical Spaces explores beyond the confines of physical space, it can be a psychological space, a visual riddle or even an awkward conundrum. It considers the clashes of identity and how it can be felt physically, emotionally. It can be a parody of a narrative, a mesh up of stories...

reimagining Little Red Riding Hood in a Singaporean context to comment on modern emotional disconnection. Using a hand-drawn, childlike visual language with colour-coded symbolism—grey for loneliness and depression, yellow for fleeting moments of connection.

I explored themes of digital addiction and isolation across two perspectives: a tech-absorbed youth and a neglected grandmother. Through this contrast, the work visualises the tension between physical proximity and emotional distance in today’s society.
